Pension Gaimberg is located on a beautiful spot. Directly from the pension you will find beautiful surroundings. If you want to discover the surrounding by foot, by bicycle or by car everything is possible. Many footpaths and nice streets are available for you.
On only 900 meters from Pension Gaimberg you will find the cableway which will take you to a height of 2278 meters above sea level . Here you will realy find a paradise for having walks and this with a beautiful view on the mountains of the Hohe Tauern and the Lienzer Dolomites.
National park “ Hohe Tauern” has many mountains with a height over 3000 meters .This majestic surrounding has 80 km²of moraine , 400 mountains with a height over 3000 meters (Großglockner 3798 meters and Großvenediger 3674 meters) , many waterfalls, steep cliffs and big Alp grasslands with many flowers .

On the south of the pension you will find many dark forests which are growing till the start of the chalk cliffs from the Lienzer Dolomites. The dolomites with their typical chalk mountain tops are reaching out till Italy. The Dolomites is also a beautiful surrounding to discover on foot, per bike or by car.
But when you want to go to a nice city to enjoy a drink or to eat something you can go to Lienz which have many good restaurants and many terraces. Lienz has also many shops.
